Next week it is the annual state of the nation address by the president.

President Jacob Zuma is expected to address the nation on the plans for the year 2012.

The DA youth has issued a statement on what they would like the president to touch on in his speech.

DA youth Chairperson Mbali Ntuli said they would like the government to implement a youth wage subsidy.

She further said the government should scrap VAT on books.

Ntuli said if the president can have a look at those and other key issues affecting the youth only then the youth of South Africa can reform.

They would also like to see the National Student Aid Scheme reformed.
