Information Bill hearings a success

The parliamentary committee in charge of the public hearings on the Protection of Information Bill said that the public meetings went well.

Hearings on the notorious piece of legislation was held in various locations around the
Eastern Cape and Western Cape
.

There has been a positive turnout at the public hearings in Gugulethu,Cape Town and in the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality.

Many people also raised concerns regarding the protection of whistle blowers.
