Former president Nelson Mandela is doing well and is in good spirits after being admitted to hospital.
Officials confirmed that Madiba is being treated for a long-standing abdominal complaint.
Presidential spokesperson Mac Maharaj says the former president is not in any danger .
Meanwhile Journalists have now gathered at the One Military Hospital in Pretoria. Officials there state that Mandela is not being treated at the facility and they told reporters to leave the site.
