The Democratic Alliance says nurses at the Tshwane District Hospital in Pretoria have not been able to bath or clean patients for almost a week because the hospital’s water supply has been cut off.
The DA’s Hendrika Kruger says family and friends have been bringing two-litre bottles of water to the hospital to try and alleviate the situation.
According to Kruger, the hospital’s valve system is faulty.
She says the Gauteng health department has to act immediately to prevent the spread of infection.
