Police in Parow have arrested a man for perjury after he opened a false claim yesterday.
According to the complainant he was busy unlocking the door of a motor dealership in Voortrekker Road in Parow where he was working, when two armed men cornered him.
They then robbed him of an undisclosed amount of cash and fled on foot.
After further police investigation and examining video footage, police discovered that the complainant staged the incident.
The complainant was charged with perjury and will appear in the Parow Magistrates court tomorrow.
