Many political parties, economists and ministers welcomed Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan’s budget for 2012.
Raymond Parsons Deputy CEO of Business Unity of South Africa said he welcomes the speech because it is pro-growth.
He also added that its pro-jobs and anti-poverty, saying that it is very important if we want the economy to grow.
Sipho Mfundisi from the United Christian Democratic Party said the speech was great and the minister focused on many areas of concern.
He added that some of them had a concern about the Gauteng e-tolling system but the minister cleared it up in the speech.
Steve Swarts from the African Christian Democratic Party said they support the budget and believe it is presented under very difficult conditions.
He also added that the focus on the infrastructure is welcomed because that is the productive side of the economy.
