Paramedics in Pretoria have rushed a woman from Jakkalsdans to the Steve Biko Academic Hospital after she was bitten by an Egyptian cobra.
The snake was next to the victim’s bed and bit her when she got up to switch on the light this morning.
Jeffrey Wicks of Netcare 911 says the woman was in a great of pain from the wound on her foot. The snake was then killed.
On the other hand a Bloemfontein woman was attacked by a monkey at work.
