The Western Cape Police Commissioner Arno Lamoer said yesterday the fact that arrests were made just days after one of the murder of one of his officers, was proof that investigations into police killings remains a top priority.
Three arrests were made shortly after constable Xoliswa Banga was shot dead.
A memorial service was held for him yesterday.
Lamoer said that every time an officer died in the line of duty, he became overwhelmed with anger.
He added that he thinks the first reaction is anger because the officers are serving the community and the criminals come and take away their lives.
