Earthlife Africa demands a report

Earthlife Africa an environmental group is calling on government to pressure Eskom to release a report on the amount of radioactive waste released from the Koeberg nuclear power station.

The group on Sunday said that the power station used to regularly released such figures but stopped after 2002.

Earthlife Africa decided to raise the issue about the dangers of nuclear energy.On Sunday marked the first anniversary of Japan’s Fukishima disaster.

Earthlife Africa’s Gray Maguire said such information should be made public and not be kept confidential.
