The DA alleges that Mpumalanga schoolchildren and teachers face possible disruption next week.
This comes after the eMalahleni Local Municipality is threatened to cut electricity supply to all schools and government departments.
According to James Masango, this is the result of the non-payment of property rates and taxes.
Masango has learnt that the Public Works Department owes the municipality around 18-million-Rands on behalf of schools in the area.
