Recently South Africans received relief when Nersa granted Eskom a 16-percent average hike for 2012/2013.

Moody’s credit ratings agency says a lower electricity hike will only benefit South African miners.

This is because Eskom’s financial revenues will be cut by 1-point-5-billion-Rand to 17-point-4-billion-Rand.

Hilary Joffe Eskom spokesperson, says Eksom  remains positive over the low hike.
