The Human Rights Commission on Tuesday visited Makhaza to inspect the so called open air toilet saga.

The officials wanted a full report from government on the state of sanitation in the country.

About a year and a half ago residents took the city to the Commission and Court over unenclosed toilets and argued that it violated their basic human rights.

The commission agreed that progress was made in the area.

The Commision`s officials raised concerns that the upgraded facilities were not user friendly for the disabled.
