A Khayelitsha man arrested for drug possession

Western Cape police confirmed on Sunday that a Khayelitsha man has been arrested outside Beaufort West on charges of drug possession.

The police said the 29-year-old suspect was stopped on the
R61 Aberdeen Road
on Saturday.

Police Spokesperson Malcolm Pojie said that the man may be a drug mule.

Pojie said the suspect was heading to Cape Town from the Eastern Cape.

Pojie added that when authorities were doing their search they discovered 200 kilograms of dagga on him.
