The KwaZulu-Natal MEC for social development Weziwe Thusi strongly condemned the killing of an elderly woman who was abducted in Jozini and found dead in ubombo.
Reita van Vuljk has been missing since her Hilux bakkie overturned in Hluhluwe on Monday.
The police’s Jay Naicker said she worked with the department in an effort to establish a child and youth care centre and it is very sad that she was killed in the very community she tried to help.
She commended the police and the community for putting alleged perpetrators behind bars.
