Mbeki says African youth must be ready to lead
Andiswa Mkosi
18 March 2012
Former president Thabo Mbeki says the youth of the African continent should prepare themselves for a rebellion against their older generation and claim their leadership role.
Mbeki pointed out at a global leadership forum in Nairobi that young people make up two-thirds of the continent's population.
In 2045 they would be the leaders responsible for the two-billion projected continental population.
According to the former president, the youth must organise and ready itself to rebel.
