The Institute for Security Studies says it is worrying that former crime intelligence boss, Richard Mdluli, is facing charges of corruption.

A newspaper publication has in its possession a 13-page report detailing the extent of Mdluli’s alleged dealings in the crime intelligence unit.

He is being accused of using state vehicles, in violation of regulations, and using safe houses for himself and his family.

The Institutes Gareth Newham says until allegations of corruption against Mdluli are investigated, he should not be trusted.
