The nephew of a famous Inkatha Freedom Party politician was shot dead near his home.
Lieutenant Colonel Vincent Mdunge says Macala Gwala was attacked while walking home with family and friends yesterday.
Blessed Gwala his uncle is the leader of the IFP in the KwaZulu-Natal legislature.
Macala was set to be sworn in as chief of his area.
