The Western Cape Education Department has also embarked on a training programme for first time principals.
The MEC for education in the Western Cape’s spokesperson Bronagh Casey said they are glad that the Cape teaching and leadership Institute is holding an induction programme for new school principals on leadership and management.
About 45 news school principals will be part of the programme.
The programme will covers topics such as the legal framework in which a principal operates, the Western Cape education departments structures and protocols and school management team alignment and communication.
Casey said the programme is one of many that will focus on school principals this year.
