Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation Ebrahim says there is no Iranian oil flowing into the country.
South Africa could become subject to sanctions by the United States if they do not cut their oil imports from Iran.
Iran currently provides for almost thirty-percent of all brent crude oil in the country, making it SA’s leading supplier.
The department of energy says they hope to find a replacement supplier by the end of May this year.
