The shooting occurred after police had searched the house for firearms and ammunition.
The Spokesperson November Filander said that they received a tip-off.
Filander said they found nothing but later were informed of the killing shortly after they had left.
Filander added that the alleged teenager from a neighbouring house shot the toddler in front of his mother accusing her of being a police informer.
