Emergency services responded to a pedestrian vehicle accident at the Klipheuwel informal settlement yesterday.
Darren Francis assistant director from the Western Cape Department of Health said a 15-month-old child was knocked down and seriously injured.
He added that emergency services were dispatched and the child was taken to the Red Cross children hospital.
More information of the childs condition will be made available once the child is assessed.
