Former Minister of Cooperative Governance has passed away

The African National Congress has confirmed that the former Co-operative Governance Minister Sicelo Shiceka passed on.

Shiceka was fired last year after Public Protector Thuli Madonsela released a report which found, among other things, that Shiceka had abused public funds.

Shiceka had been on sick leave since February 2011.

ANC`s Spokesperson in the Western Cape Cobus Grobler said that they are saddened by the death of Mr Shiceka.
