Since this morning Home Affairs refugee reception offices will run on extended hours to help alleviate their backlogs.
They will now operate from 07:30 until 17:00 from Monday to Friday.
The offices which will be following these new times are Cape Town, Marabastad, the Pretoria Showgrounds, Durban and Musina.
The department’s Manusha Pillay said that in addition to the extended times, refugee reception offices will also be open on Saturday’s from 08:00 until 13:00.
