Western Cape Health Minister, Theuns Botha, has apologised to patients for the disruption the past two weeks in the delivery of pre-packed chronic medication parcels to health facilities.
The Western Cape ANC has called for Botha to resign.
This comes after the Minister put the lives of many poor and weak patients at risk.
Helene Rossouw the spokesperson for the department, says they believe that in the long term this fault has helped to improve service.
