The minister of transport S’bu Ndebele handed compensation cheques to residents of Mitchell’s Plain.
The compensation cheques were given from the Road Accident Fund.
Ndebele said the national outreach programme is aimed at the families affected by road accidents.
He added that it is quiet important for the Road Accident Fund to be out there with the victims.
Ndebele said most of the people don’t claim from the fund because they don’t know they can claim.
