The Environmental Affairs Department has cancelled the licence of a US-based documentary maker Chris Fischer who has been working in False Bay.

This comes after a 20 year-old body-board was killed by a shark this afternoon.

The Department`s officials said that fears were previously expressed that the fishing bait used to attract sharks for the Shark Men project would lead to attacks.

The licence was cancelled with immediate effect.
