Western Cape traffic officials urge pedestrians to stay away from the roads

The Western Cape Traffic Officials urged pedestrians to stay away for the roads.

This comes after about nine pedestrians were arrested over the weekend for various charges.

Western Cape Traffic Chief Kenny Africa said that they want to clampdown on pedestrians who do as they please on the roads.

Africa also said that there are no pedestrians allowed on the national roads.

Africa further warned pedestrians to always be alert when crossing the road and ensure that they cross at a pedestrian crossing.

Africa added that on weekends the number of pedestrians knocked down by cars escalate.
