The accident on the N2 near Bhunga Ave, Langa has led to the closure of the road.
The cause of the accident is not known,but reports indicate that a truck was involved in that accident.
Cape Town International Airport`s Communication Officer says the N2 has been closed and it is not known for how long will the road remain closed.
Communication Officer Nonkanyiso Nyika says passengers driving to Cape Town International Airport on that route are encouraged to take alternative routes to the airport to avoid delays.
