The Ratelgat farm in the Western Cape’s Knersvlakte is expected to be unveiled as a provincial Heritage Site on Saturday.

Cultural Affairs and Sport MEC Ivan Meyer will be making the declaration.

MEC`s Spokesperson Daniel Johnson says this declaration is an attempt to help preserve Griqua culture.

Johnson says the farm that was previously known as Luiperdskop has a profound connection to the Griqua people of South Africa.
