The DA has learnt that efforts from PetroSA to secure other crude oil from Nigeria have not been successful.
The DA’s Shadow Deputy Minister of Energy Jacques Smalle said it goes inline with their commercial application for a license.
He added that they are very concerned that 25% of the crude oil was purchased in Iran, which needs to be purchased somewhere else, could be in jeopardy due to the failure of the application.
The DA has written to the Minister of Energy Dipuo Peters to intervene.
