South African Football Association vice-president Danny Jordaan has cancelled his trip to the Euro 2012
finals.
Jordaan is staying away in protest against reports of racism and violence against Africans and Asians from co-hosting nations Poland and Ukraine.
Jordaan and his family have attended every Euro championship since 2000.
He told journalists his decision was based on the principle that race and colour should not be the basis for determining the worth of an individual.
