The MEC of Human Settlements in the Western Cape Bonginkosi Madikizela will be handing over a house to the Maswati family this morning in Khayelitsha.

This is part of the Umzimhlope Two Housing Project of which 440 units have been completed in Phase One.

Phase two will deliver another 300 units.

Department of Human Settlement Spokesperson Bruce Oom says the family is being given the house due to the state of health of one of their member.

He also said they were found to be 22 family members living in one shack
