ANC treasurer-general Mathews Phoza has admitted that the party has neglected interaction with minorities.
Speaking at the Western Cape provincial general council in Cape Town, Phoza said party leaders had to focus on its motto that the country belongs to all who live in it.
He added that the leaders to be elected at the Mangaung conference in December would have to give more attention to nation building.
Phoza says the only way to defeat the DA in the Western Cape is by being an inclusive party according to established ANC principles.
