The Minister of Police Nathi Mthethwa said their war on crime has not been affected by the recent spate of stories concerning the police’s top cops.
Mthethwa said joint leadership of the South African Police Service (SAPS) is confident that they will overcome the current challenges.
This comes after a High Court ruling which prevents former Crime and Intelligence boss Richard Mdluli from working within SAPS.
The Minister’s spokesperson Zweli Mnisi said that SAPS has set up a review process which includes crime fighting and disciplinary hearings against the senior leaders of SAPS.
