Certain communities in Cape Town have been hard hit with gang related activities.
Many people, including children have been caught in the crossfire either ending up badly wounded or sometimes dead.
The MEC for Community Safety in the Western Cape Dan Plato will reveal the conviction rate of one of Cape Town’s most gang affected areas.
The MEC’s spokesperson Greg Wagner said conviction rates are necessary to ensure successful convictions of criminals.
He added that convictions of criminals are to ensure that they do not stay on the streets and continue with the violence that has plagued the Western Cape.
