Trade union federation Cosatu says more fuss is being made about Rhino killings than the deaths of black mine workers in SA.
This comes after five miners died of asphyxiation at Gold Fields mine west of Johannesburg.
Cosatu’s provincial secretary general Dumisani Dakile says there would have been a greater uproar if it were five rhino’s that died or if the miners were white.
He has called for government to take strong steps against mines that expose workers to dangerous conditions.
