On Wednesday evening a 40-year-old Somalian was arrested at Cape Town International Airport after police found 99 bunches of the drug khat in his possession.
The police’s November Filander said after the man was searched police found the drug in his luggage worth an estimated street value of R80 000.
Filander said the suspect arrived from a flight from Johannesburg.
The suspect will appear in the Bellville Magistrates Court once he is charged with the possession of drugs.
