Metrorail plans to remove all the vendors on trains

Metrorail in the Western Cape will be removing refreshment vendors on trains. 

Metrorail Regional Manager Mthuthuzeli Swart said that the removal of vendors will ensure safety of commuters and clean trains. 

Swart said that while he understands that traders were attempting to earn a living, but doing so illegally was counterproductive and could not be condoned. 

He added that the papers that are thrown out by people put a negative look on Metrorail trains and their cleaning staff.
