Office of the Chief Procurement Officer to be established

President Jacob Zuma has announced that an office of the Chief Procurement Officer will be established soon to counter corruption with government tenders.

Zuma was Speaking to ambassadors at the presidential guesthouse in Pretoria.

President  Zuma admitted that the tender system had harmed the image of the ANC and of the government.

He says the Chief Procurement Officer will help to reduce problems in the supply chain management system.
