The ANC Western Cape has condemned the senseless killings of police officers.

Last week, at least four police members were shot dead and other were wounded.

Provincial ANC executive committee chairperson Sanette Smit says people should value the people who protect citizens and not kill them in cold blood.

She slams the probe Premier Helen Zille has instituted into alleged inefficient policing in Khayelitsha.

Smit also accuses DA community safety MEC Dan Plato of fraternising with criminals like gangsters and drug lords.
