Polela, who holds the rank of colonel, responded to Molemo Jub Jub Maarohanye being sent to jail by tweeting that he hoped the hip-hop star’s fans had supplied him with a jar of Vaseline before he reported to prison.
Polela has since apologised and admitted that the comment was in poor taste.
