The recent police killings in the Western Cape that occurred last week have brought mixed reactions from the public.

The Community Safety MEC Dan Plato and Provincial Police Commissioner Arno Lamoer have scheduled a meeting to discuss the way forward with regards to these killings.

Four police officers were killed last week and another one was hospitalised.

Community Safety Spokesperson Greg Wagner said this is very worrying, when the people that are supposed to protect the public are killed.

Warner added that something needs to be done urgently to sort out these killings.
