President Jacob Zuma held a meeting with Lesotho Prime Minister Tom Thabane at the Presidential Guest House in Pretoria on Thursday.

Zuma and Thabane agreed to work more closely together to enhance relations between the two countries.

South Africa has promised to provide humanitarian assistance to Lesotho to help ease the impending food crisis.

The country is facing severe food shortages due to dry weather conditions and more than half of the population is struggling to make ends meet.
