The South African Communist Party General Secretary Dr Blade Nzimande on Friday called for a law that will prevent against President Jacob Zuma being insulted.

Nzimande said engaging in insulting words or behaviour towards the President Jacob Zuma should be dealt with by law.

Nzimande insisted that a law preventing people from insulting the President is more than necessary.

Law expert Pierre de Vos said there can not be a law centred around one person.

Pierre de Vos said the President is of high position but it would be unconstitutional to have such a law.
