City unleashes “ghost squad” and the “Hulk”

The city of Cape Town launched the Highway Ghost Squad, as well as a 26-wheel vehicle known as the “Hulk”.

The city launched a highway ghost squad, as part of the festive season.

It will comprise of four motor cycles and 2 vehicles.

The Squad is the fourth of its kind, and will be the first headed by a female.

Smith said “the squad will be assisted by the “Hulk”.

The Hulk is a large multipurpose vehicle which will serve both road safety awareness and as a command centre which will help with large road blocks.

Smith said “during non-festive and non-peak times we hope the Hulk will help schools; for students writing learners licences in the vehicle, we just need to have it certified.”
