DA gives Zuma until Wednesday to answer questions

The Democratic Alliance has given President Jacob Zuma until Wednesday afternoon to reveal details of the spending of millions-of-Rands on upgrades at his Nkandla homestead.

The ANC insists that the DA is merely seeking publicity. DA leader Helen Zille was prevented from inspecting the homestead yesterday.

Political analyst Judith February says opposition parties have a right to question government spending, especially in tough economic times.

But the DA’s methods could divert attention from the real issue
