Cricket Australia has admonished former Australian Test batsman Greg Ritchie for his racist remarks at a lunch at the Gabba in Brisbane on Friday.

Ritchie, who was the guest speaker at the members’ lunch used the k-word in an anecdote involving Kepler Wessels.

Richie also made offensive remarks in jokes about Islam and Pakistan.

Wessels is considering legal action. Cricket Australia also indicated that Richie would not again be welcome as a guest speaker at any cricket venue.
