Man drowns off Pringle Bay

The National Sea Rescue Institution today said, a man died after he was swept off the rocks in Pringle Bay.

NSRI’s Craig Lambinon said that it was belived that the man and hos friend were cray-fishing from the rocks when a wave swept them out to sea.

Lambinon said “when paramedics arrived on the scene, one of the men was found to have already be safe on shore and the other was found floating in the water”.

He added that rescue swimmers were deployed into the water, and paramedics declared the man dead on the scene.
