Mayor praise police, after husband suffered stroke will driving

Cape Town mayor Patricia de Lille today praised the police for saving her husband's life, after he suffered a stroke while driving.

Edwin de Lille was pulled over and arrested by officials on Friday, after he was caught speeding.

It later emerged the 64-year-old had suffered a stroke while he was in his vehicle.

It was his second stroke in the past three weeks.The mayor said things could have been far worse.

De Lille  said she had to rush home as she was at a conference in Stellenbosch at the time of the happening.
 
Mayor De Lille says that she is gratful to the police for acting in that manner Mr De Lille was stabilized  by their doctor and is recovering at home.
