The Western
Cape Education Department today will be handing over more than 1 500 PC tablets
for principals at Phandulwazi High School , Oakland Secondary and Greenfield Primary school .
MEC Donald
Grant announced earlier this year that each school principal in the Province
would receive a PC tablet before the end of the academic year.
Spokesperson
for the minister, Bronagh Casey, said the tablets were aimed to widen
communication between the WCED and the principals.
Casey said that
the department wants to create an efficient learning community and that “learners
received quality education that learners deserve”.
